DECORATION

Worship of the Supreme Lord in His Deity form is a vital part of Indian heritage and culture. It is tradition, to have a well decorated altar of God in every household. To inculcate these fine aspects of Indian tradition, we encourage children to participate in these events.

Rangoli

Guidelines:

  1. Rangoli has both solo and team options.

  2. Team size : 3 Members

  3. Cardboard mats (41.5 X 31.5 inches) will be provided for arranging the materials.

  4. Make colorful rangoli designs to attract the attention of the Lord.

  5. Participants are allowed to bring the template of the design on which the decoration may be arranged.

  6. Duration: 90 minutes.

  7. Eligibility: Class V-X.

  8. Judgement criteria: Creativity, visual appeal and presentation.

 

Cookery Display

Guidelines:

  1. Prepare the sweet dishes, savories or any vegetarian items specially cooked during Sri Krishna Janmashtami at home and display it at the competition.

  2. Usage of onion, garlic, mushrooms, eggs or any non-vegetarian ingredients is strictly prohibited; such entries will be disqualified.

  3. Don’t taste the dishes during or after cooking; even for checking sugar or salt.

  4. All preparations will be offered to the Lord by the temple priest at the venue, with tulasi leaves and only then tasted.

  5. The recipe and the list of ingredients should be provided to the judges.

  6. Duration: 90 minutes.

  7. Eligibility: Class V-X.

  8. Judgement criteria: Taste, nutritional value and presentation.
